I for one don't like all of the "new" advertising of everything from shoes to laundry detergent. I wish that advertisments (that I understand are necessary to provide income for the board) was restricted to quilt related products and businesses.

When home computers first came out I could not figure them out. I am very visual and I just couldn't see where my documents were going. My DH tells the funniest stories about me yelling at the computer when it wouldn't print and such. Now I can go anywhere and do anything I want to. Once I figured out it was like a file cabinet I was set free. We will all get there we just have to believe we can do it.

The one thing I like about the old format is when I read a post, it was not in in bold anymore so I knew which ones I had already opened..I wish there was a way to know so I didn't repeatedly reopen stuff I had already seen.

May I have the salt with my serving of crow, please? I confess that I grumbled privately for the first few hours after the new board was open, but with some poking around, I managed to find everything here that was here before, along with features that I *really* like!
My major complaint now? I miss the smilies!!

Things have settled down in chat as well. We are returning to our fun selves, a little at a time. I'm just hoping that the computer will remember for longer than 4 days this time - this morning's log in issue was maddening - over it now, though. Life goes on.
