Ebates?

Ebates?
Is anyone here using Ebates, and can you tell me how it works? I signed up on their website, but how do I get merchandise I purchase. Ex: Walmart, a TV. Do I order it online, or can I go in the store, and how does Ebates know I purchased it. Thanks for any help you can give me in explaining exactly how this works.

You have to go to the store website thru ebates website. And you have to complete the sale to get the rebate. Returns won't count. I just got a check for 6.97. (I'm not a big spender!!)
Look thru this website especially the help columum on the left.

I prefer Fatwallet. It is the same as Ebates. When you shop online you enter the site through their portal and you get credit towards you purchase. You get all the same deals you would find elsewhere. It is exactly the same as searching on your own. Last year for my Xmas shopping, I got a check back for $40ish. Ebates may do the same but what I like about FatWallet is that other search for the deals and post them in their forums so if I'm looking for a camera, I look under cameras and see where the deals are at, then enter through their portal for $ back. It is easy.

When you order on line through Walmart, you have to go there from the Ebates sites, but then you can have your item shipped to the store or to your home...either way works.
Yes..the rebate is usually only 2-3%, but they also run specials where sometimes it's been as much as 9%(at a place I would never shop, but a good deal for somebody out there!)..
I like it..especially for items that I would buy anyway, and who couldn't use a few extra bucks?

I use ebates all the time. There are links to many many online stores. Macys, Target, walmart are just a few. I have gotten back more than $1,000 total over the years. (Keep in mind I order everything online for Christmas. I even do monthly purchases like shampoo, etc from drugstore.com which gives 6%. I live an hour from these types of stores and for me ebates has been win win)
