This looks like a lot of samples of upholstery and other fabrics! Who would pay this price?
You can tell by his other ads, this person does not have a clue as to the value of the items. Way overpriced!
If you take a look at this guys name....well.....I suppose we could call him a birdbrain??? Unbelievable what some people will try to sell.

I like how it is so expensive, and it even has holes and is sold "as is"! Wow, our stuff would be priceless... maybe we can see if that person will buy some of our quilt tops. Whos with me? LOL

If you look at the pictures you will see it is made of wool samples from textile plants in Europe. There are tags on some of the swatches. The wool will make it very heavy! I had some men's suit samples and my DGS made a quilt which was very warm but also very very heavy.

A collector who is interested in vintage textiles would love this quilt. I see them in antique stores from time to time and the price is not unreasonable. More than I would pay but I don't collect wool quilt tops.

I have also seen on Simply Quilts and other shows where they visit European museums and this construction using textile swatches is something that you can see in some of the quilts in those museums.

The quilt has value because of it's age and where the textile swatches would have come from. These are usually samples from a sample book that the peddlar went from home to home to sell fabrics.

As an antique dealer's daughter and a collector I can see the allure of this quilt top. It has a history! In antique stores these prices are very common for this type of quilt top.

It just takes the right buyer to sell something like this. It takes a collector who knows the history of these kinds of quilts.

On the back it looks like serging. I am sure Singer never made a serging treadle. I would not even bid $3.25 for that monstrosity.
