Spiders don't bother me, but I will kill myself trying to get away from a tiny green lizard! It was inherited from my dear mother!

I don't kill spiders unless I have to. I usually just escort them back outside. Now.. fleas, ticks, ants, crickets, that's another story. Snakes are ok too, outside. They do in the mole population and I don't have to poison the yard and birds.

Years ago (about 25) when my DD was in high school she went through a "New Age" phase. You know crystals, tarot cards, etc. Well she said something like killing a spider was bad karma. Anyway one day I hear this horrible scream come from her bathroom. I go in and there is one of those Wolf spiders( the black fuzzy kind that jump) in the tub with her. It had jumped from the ceiling. We killed it and soon after she dropped allthe new age stuff.

my parents used to live in an apartment that had spiders that were the size of a large hand and they were fuzzy and black and they would gyrate and jump. thinking about it gives me the willies.

Yeah, I think those are the Wolf spiders. They can get really big.

Absolutely scared to death of spiders! Husband used to kill them for me, but now he makes me do it if I want it gone.

My eeeekkkkk is finding snakes in my basement. Can't figure out where the heck they are coming from - babies about 10" long but since I'm deathly afraid of them I'm not working on quilts for a while until we get them all. The basement is laundry and sewing. Good thing DH has figured out how to do his own laundry, and mine!
