in this day and age you have got to be smarter..that's why i don't do online banking..i am not putting my info out there and i won;t do anything that req my ss no...i do use 1 and only one credit card for ordering online which i pay for fraud protection..i dont keep a balance and i check it by phone nearly everyday....please be alert..if it doesnt look good or feel right..don't do it...sorry for rambling on

For the record, I missed a lot of them and I am pretty good at spelling and grammer! Our brains often skip over errors like that as long as we can understand the message.
This scam is of particular note because if you were to take the time to look up the 'financial instruments' mentioned in the email, they might be real. The best 'cons' always have a bit of checkable truth in them. That's what makes them work.
Also, for the record, I didn't check any of the financial instruments mentioned in the email.

We replaced the mailbox with the cheapest one we could find.
