Default Embellishments: beads, buttons, charms, etc.... what do you use?

Went bead shopping last night. So much fun, too many choices but oh, what fun. Here are some of the beads I bought. I have ideas popping in my head all the time and find I need a palette of items to use when I am in a creative mood. What do you use? Please feel welcome to post photos of what you use or items you have embellished. We can all inspire each other.

Here is a needlecase I made for a recent swap on this board. I loved it so much, it was ever so hard to send it to my partner but I gladly did!

Thanks Lynnie. The doily is a section I cut off of a larger one. I washed it out, dried it and then laid it on the fabric. I just loop over the doily about every 1/2" - 1" with same color thread. I really enjoy adding this to quilts. One I made for my Mom and did not take a photo of... my regret. Next time I visit her I will have to take a photo.

Have you ever looked at this site?

I order their catalog... soooooooooooooooo many choices. I prefer the catalog because there are so many choices, I can mark the ones I like and then go back and whittle my list down to something I can afford.

I know how great SewExtreme's beading work is!! I've been the lucky recipient of a doll quilt she made for me! And a needlecase, too. Here is the doll quilt. I am amazed at your work, L.!! I haven't taken the time to put a lot of extras on blocks, even though I have bought some beads.

Jillnjo, thank you for your kind words. That little kite quilt was so fun. Again, your quilt was a hard one to send cuz I fell in love with it. Like the plumber who's home has plumbing that needs fixin'... I have the one I started for myself about half finished.

I love it. I do crazy quilting and use all kinds of "stuff" for emblishments for all I do. I have a few pictures to post to show my work but will post as separate.
