Embroidered patches, any QB members make them?
Hi,
I am interested in embroidering patches and have watched videos online and read at other sites about how this is done to achieve the best results.
Could buy premade patches and embroider them, but don't think I want the investment of buying different sizes and shapes.
Just curious if any of you with embroidery machines make patches and how and what techniques work the best for you.
Type of stabilizer you use
Fabric, trigger cloth, duck cloth, poplin, etc.
Do you use stablizer behind the design, like a cut away?
What do you use on the back of the patch, if anything?
I am thinking doing it like an embroidered applique on a wash-away stablizer so the trimming is done before the final satin stitch is done.
I have a Babylock Elegante2 machine.
Appreciate any hints, tips, and experience with this project!
Thanks!
Bev
