Fabric At Wal-Mart
#11
Wish they'd bring in a decent fabric dept here in our Walmart in South Salem (OR)...they took out about 75% of it over a year ago and what is left is SAD. Lousy fabric quality, and not much to look at. Don't understand it....so I spend my fabric money at Joann's or the local fabric stores when I hit sales. Walmart doesn't want my money that's fine with me -- I'll spend it where I can get something good.
I live just 25 miles out of So. Salem so I know which Walmart you mean - and right after they took it out, Joann's closed that Commercial St store so now there is nothing there and Joann's is now clear across the valley. The Dallas store doubled or more their dept, and it would be great if that So. Commercial store would go big time again. I enjoyed that department and was shocked when they took it out. I'll cross my fingers for ya.

Wow - I just went online to the Wal-mart site and typed in "fabrics" and came up with 4,050 items, and a lot of "themed" fabric, too. No, I didn't look at all 4,050 items but was encouraged with what I did see. :-)

Start a writing campaign to the higer ups of Wal-Mart, if enough people complain, they will listen. I send so many emails, got answers I didn't like and answered back with answers, I am sure they did not like, but apparently enough people complained that we are getting it back. Hopefully it as full status like it use to be.
