Fallen Arches and Foot Pain
#51
I am so sorry you are having this problem. I have Plantar Fasciitis in both feet also. I have the heel spurs that go with it also. My doctor sent me to a podiatrist. He prescribed physical therapy and they used cortozone infusion on the heels. I also had to wear a boot to the knee on one for a few weeks. After all the therapy I felt a lot better. I have tried every kind of sneaker and sandal made. I find that New Balance works the best for sneakers and sandals I only wear sketcher sandals..both have good arch supports. If I go barefoot for very long my feet hurt also. There are some excersises that you can do at home to keep your arches stretched.

I had special made ones from when I was 13 that finally died. My doctor recommended I try SuperFeet inserts and they seem to be working so far! (have had them for about 6 months now).
I was diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis (sp?) about 4 years ago. (basically high arches that fall and it hurts to walk)

I have stood on my feet for 35 years as an Operating Room nurse, so I know how you feel. What I find good is to go regularly to have a pedicure, and I wear shoes all the time. In the house I wear open slip-ons with arch supports such as Merrells or Clarkes. I look for them when I am in TJ Maxx or Marshalls, and usually find them for around $25-$30.
