When I raised my step daughter we played Uno many nights.
While growing up we had a busy Ping Pong table in the basement which my brothers and friends seemed to monopolize. As an adult we've played Trivial Pursuit.
My more recent favorite is Pictionary-the whole family can play.

Croquet, horseshoes, badminton without a net, scrabble, chess, checkers, monotony (our name for monopoly), clue, yatzee- we played board games all the time growing up in the sixties.

I met DH when his youngest was about 5. We taught him to play cribbage and he and his dad played for years. Now he is a dad himself. I told him, teach your kids to play poker, blackjack, or cribbage when they are young and you can avoid all those mind numbing games of Candyland and such!!

All the above, Bear!
Game of Life, too! One of my all-time favourites. Also remember Snakes & Ladders when I was a young child. Played it all the time.
How about, Operation? The electronic game where you pretended to be a doctor and tried removing body parts from the patient without setting the alarm off?

We played canasta a great deal as well as many board games. I loved to bike outdoors and swim and do anything outside but once inside, the games started. Taught grandkids how to play rummy so that’s our main game now with them. They play all the board games they can now.

I remember playing "Chinese Checkers" (probably politically incorrect!) with my Grandma when I was very young. My parents didn't approve of playing cards... but we played plenty of Racko, Monopoly, crokinole, Uno, checkers, snakes and ladders.
I love playing games now(DH not so much). My favourites are Balderdash, Probe, Scattergories, Taboo. I like online card games like Spades, Gin, Canasta...but I am not very good at them

I don't remember playing many board games. As kids my sister and I usually did art or played with our Barbies. We made a lot of clothes, just cutting and tying strips mostly, but some real sewing. We played outside. Kick the can, capture the flag, hide and seek. We lived in the desert so the backyard was one giant sandbox. When I was 13 we got horses. Between cleaning and riding that filled most of our time.
