When talking about stocks and bonds, it's usually said "Don't put your eggs in one basket."

But my husband says,"You can put your eggs in one basket, but WATCH that basket!"

I am a nurse, having worked over 21 years as a charge nurse in a hospital. One of my nurses used to have a saying "shot themself in the foot". It is like trying to take short cuts and end up having more work to do than if you did it right the first time.

My MIL used to say on a foggy day...looks like the inside of a mouse's pocket.

Also, haven't done that since Hector was a puppy...who was Hector??

In our hospital hall once we had a poster with a cat hanging onto the end of a rope that said, "tie another knot & hold on." I'd laugh when I'd be stressed out & see that.
