I have a list and I really love the Renaissance period. Here is the Virgin I did after Bottecelli. I cut out the Virgin in wood, covered her in fabric and then painted on top. The hands are Bottecelli. I love the way he did hands.
Her red cape is a piece of fabric I got at Joann's.

This is my brother Matthew, so I am biased, but he is a wonderful artist. He has pieces in both MOMAs (CA and NY), the Art Museum of Dallas, and a museum in Wichita, among other places. If you google him, you can probably find the most recent show in Zurich.
non-related favorites include:
Edward Hopper,
Gustav Klimt
Ewa Wall (Hill country Texas artist)
Charles Rennie Mackintosh
Keith Haring
