Terminally ill children at Loma Linda Med. center. It is something that they can use and wrap up in which sometimes helps them feel comfort plus the parents have another memoriyof their precious child once they take the quilt home.

I have donated to linus, Assistance League,The Nevada Diabetes Association and the snuggle quilts for the No Kill animal shelter so far. I have a couple others I am thinking of helping, but, I have to finish these last ones first.

I made 6 quilts last year for Quilts for Kids. I choose this charity because my daughter received a quilt when she was dying in the hospital. It covered her for 13 days while she slowly passed away. I still have that quilt. It is a Noah's Ark quilt. She always loved animals of all sorts. I just thought that it was time for me to give back. I may make more this year.

i give to
1. our volunteer fire department- they give the quilts to families who have had house fires-
2. the local pre-school...they raffle one every year for an end of year field trip and picnic
3. relay for life...cancer has and continues to effect my family- this is an annual event many of us participate in i along with the relay also donate a quilt which is raffled the day of our relay.
4. the hospital pediatric department- quilts given to children in need (even if the need is just a snuggle)
5. quilts of valor- having a son in law and a son both in the military- we do alot of (patriotic activities) including numerous fundraisers ever year- i send quilts out i also drop them off at the american legion where my parents volunteer alot of their time.
6. the local swim school- living in Michigan where we are surrounded by water- it is important for every child to learn to swim- they have fund raisers to help the families who can not afford the cost.
7. challenge mountain- cancer camp for kids
8. women's resource center- some of the quilts are used in the protective shelters- some of the quilts are given to victims who are getting out on their own for the first time, and some are raffled for fund raising- this one is close to my heart i give a number ever year
9. Young Champions- cheerleading program- my granddaughters have been involved with young champions for about 5 or 6 years now- i make 'cheer-quilts' for their competition fundraisers.
10. downey quilts for kids
11. St. Jude's Childrens hospital- another of my favorites
i know i'm forgetting something but this is pretty much where my quilts go on a regular basis
