    I have met:

Charlie Pride.....my moms favorite country singer

My sister and I were lil kids and begged our parents to let us try to get closer to the stage to see Charlie Pride (Mom's fave)at the Michigan state fair grounds. We made it to the stage and he motioned to security we were okay to lean on the stage and watch him. He shook our hands while he was singing. When he was done with that song, I asked him to sign an autograph for my mom that absolutely loved him. He did! We stood there for several songs before dad took us back with the famiy.

Rosie Greer...I worked at an airport gift shop while in college. One midnight shift, he stopped in and bought 1/2# chocolate covered peanuts and signed an autograph after we talked for a few.

Willie Nelson...Michigan State fair grounds. I walked up to the stage shook his hand while he was singing.

Trace Adkins.....many times.....my friends used to say that I was stalking him. Backstage after every concert I have went to. I did travel out of town many times to see him and out of state, 3-4 times. Maybe I was stalking him. Photo/autograph session for a "fan club member" everytime I met him. Even went to a nascar race in TN, cuz he was playing at the race that weekend. He is such a sweet, humbled, southern mannered man and funny. Did I say that he can sing and dance! Not to mention a tall drink of water. I guess Trace is my favorite. But Charlie runs a very close second. The look on my moms face when we told her about shaking hands with him and getting his autograph and leaning on the stage was worth it. He was definitely moms favorite. Dad used to say if I had been a boy my name was going to be Charlie.

My daughter, now 52, has corresponded with Ed Asner since her school years.

He came to the east coast about 10 years ago and invited us all to where he was appearing. He is such a nice man and made all of us feel so welcome.

I am a retired Air Force Public Affairs guy, so the list for me can be a bit long. I'll say it in this way:

10 Congressional Medal of Honor winners
Two men who walked on the moon - one drove the dune buggy that's still there.
Two men the Wright Brothers taught to fly
    One president of South Korea
One American Vice President (Joe Biden - saw him a lot in a Home Depot here when he was a U.S. Senator)
Way too many prisoners of war from WWI,II, Korea and Viet Nam
The Dali Llama - the one in exile
Face-to-face with North Korean Guards at the 38th Parallel
Face-to-face with East German Guards at the Berlin Wall
Chubby Checker - when is was chubby and not well known.
Gladys Knight and the Pips - also not yet well known.
Jimmy Doolittle - of Doolittle's Raid over Tokyo, WWII
One man who fought in the Spanish-American War
People who survived the Holocaust (met them while I was stationed in Germany in the 1970s)
    Emeril LaGasse
    Morey Amsterdam
Dolly Parton -- she was on a USO tour in the early 1970s in W. Germeny, as was Morey.
Bob Hope - his USO show while I was in South Korea - I think it was 1970, maybe 69.)
A Chinese journalist who escaped from Bejing (sp?) - he was just writing about technology stuff.
The son of the General who broke away from mainland China and moved his followers to Taiwan to form a Communist-free government.
The Queen of Holland (in the 1970s)
The Earl of DeLaWaare (in 1987)-- This state's name where I live (Delaware) comes from his legacy.
And, my favorite -- Soupy Sales!

We met the Texas Tenors on a cruise. Great guys. Have a photo of me with Marcus. If you haven't seen these guys, it is worth the time to YouTube them.

My husband met Cher Bono in a bar in Texas. She was married to Gregg Allman at the time. He says she wasn't very pretty or anything.
