Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today.
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.
Step on a crack, break your mother's back.
Red sky in morning, sailor take warning; red sky at night, sailor delight.

New day, new deal. (Dad was self employed in construction and ranched. Lots of changed plans)
You get what you get, so don't pitch a fit.
It is what it is.
Pretty is as pretty does.
I wish I had that and they had something better.

"Enough is as good as a feast." - Mary Poppins
"Man is the only animal that blushes, or needs to." - Mark Twain
"Life is like a sh*t sandwich. Even on good days you take small bites." - My dad (don't know where he got it though, he claims my grandma used to say it.)
Okay that last one is a little off-color. I wish I could tell you my father used pithy sayings a lot and potty language only a little. But I'd be lying. Sorry if anyone takes offense but it is literally the only thing I can remember my dad saying that I can quote here.

You reap what you sow.
It never rains but that it pours.
Early bird gets the worm.
If Wishes were horses, beggars would ride.
An egg in the hand is worth two in the nest.
The spirit's willing but the body is weak.

If the good Lord is willing and the creek don't rise.
You lay in the bed you made.
Rise and shine and give God the glory.
You are what you eat.
Lay with dogs, and you'll get fleas.
Ain't got a pot to pee in....nor a window to throw it out of.
