Suddenly I am paranoid. . . . scammers, copyright issues, FBI. . . Can't a body quilt in peace anymore? Thank goodness all my documents are in the safe deposit box and I can no longer remember any numbers!

My dh had a top secret clearance for 20 something years before he retired. If you had one, or were married to someone who did, you know that YOUR file is pretty thick, too.
They want me, they know where to find me....so if I receive that kind of money from some source, they can just bring it to the door, lol.

That's scary that we are practically neighbors. If they come knocking on my door asking about you, I will look and act dumb (which isn't hard to do by a long shot. LOL). On a more serious note it is hard to believe anyone would fall for that......

we were getting 4 to 5 calls a day from "Peter"- insert heavy accent or whomever (we call them random name generators) offering services from Frontier. hmmm, frontier is our phone co., after numerous times of them calling and we are saying we don't want their services I "listened". I say- listened- because I asked him about his services. What was it he was selling- he repeated the same canned info. I said OK- you can read- but what are these services and what value do they add? He read it again- I told him to go to his supervisor and ask for training on the services so he can sell them and then call back. No more phone calls!
The other one (which is quite nasty) we ask where are you located- if they say USA, I ask which state- the last guy flunked- he kept saying USA. I told him to read up on it and hung up on him. He only had 50 choices.
And if anyone wants to me to check your name on the terrorist list- let me know. We have to check everyone buying/selling/refinancing a home in PA. And we check you for support obligations and bankruptcy.
Not too much is top secret anymore.
