I went to our real FBI site and searched for Internet Blackout and nothing came up. Then I searched Snopes and nothing came up. Personally I won't be going to any internet computer check/scan sites. That's a good way to have bad stuff downloaded to your computer. I think something this big would be on the national news reports too.

There is an article and a link to check your machine right in the FBI website. Go to www.fbi.gov and do a search for DNS Malware. This is not a scam to get into your computer. But, to be safe, use the link to check your PC right from the FBI themselves!
The FBI does not mention this in their SCAM listings because it ISN"T a scam. It is real.
You have to know what to search for within the FBI web site. The term, "internet blackout" will not find the articles on this problem. Please search for DNS malware.

That doesn't sound legit to me. The FBI has their own site www.fbi.gov where they have tons of internet scams and warnings listed. The above one is not listed. I wouldn't risk going to that site.

I don't know about this but I got a worm that said it was from windows saying my pc was in danger of a virus and i needed to down load this cleaner for 49.00 and it would remove it. well I opened it because it was from windows and it closed my brouser and I was not able to move I closed down my pc and came back in safe mode and tried to fix the problemand insafe mode I couldn't find it so i went backto the regular moderan my stopzilla and found 2worms and several trogens i won't do that again.
