Yippee! the scales continue to show a loss each day! it may only be ounces but hey, I'll that that! I work at a packaging company so the scales I use each morning do weigh to the ounce. That is a good thing at least it does show progress no matter how small! My food portions are way smaller than what I had been eating just cause I could! I don't really miss anything as far as breads, potatoes, rice! nope don't miss at all and I still fix them for DH. He is a meat and potatos kinda guy. No red meats either for me, fish, chicken and beans. Been eating fruit at least twice aday. now I just need to exercise more! things are looking good!!!!!

Oh my gosh....one little thing happens and then it snowballs. I'm soooo out of the loop. Haven't jumped on here in a while because of all sorts of things.

Blondeslave - so sorry to hear about your loss. I know how hard that is. I know what that is like and my heart goes out to you.

My mom ended up in the hospital the last time I was on here. Not sure what, her blood pressure went through the roof, but she felt fine. She spent the night and they sent her home with instructions to see a cardiologist. She still hasn't gone. And I don't think she plans on it. She's 85 and a little stubborn. But, she's my mom.

Also celebrated a bunch of birthdays. DH, his aunts, DDIL's, our 31st anniversary, my DD's 86th BDay, and on of my BFF's had a birthday. I'm tired!! LOL...to much partying. But I did stick with my diet.

Hopefully now that things have settled down a bit I'll be back on here a little more. I'm working on writing a quilt pattern right now. The quilt will be done in about a week I think. I'll post it here when I'm finished with it.

Having the flu was kinda hard for my diet. I managed to get down some crackers and fruit and Lipton's Cup of Soup on Friday. The rest of the time, I've been able to stick to my plan. Drinking all that water and trying to sleep from the medicine was another story. I'm much better now and I will go weigh tomorrow, unless we get the predicted ice and sleet.

hope everyone is doing good. even tho, i fell off the wagon. can't get back on, from xmas.
CHQ, high blood pressure could mean a lot of things. prevention is better than trying to fix something later. tell your mom that. 85, well that is a nice age. may we all be so lucky.
cindy and crew, yes, another mystery quilt coming soon from PMJ. can't wait. doing all the tri's on my 2nd jane. hope to get her done before spring and yard work starts up.

I got a thank you letter today from Airwick. She asked me to tell everyone that she is doing okay and she thanks you from the bottom of her heart for all the prayers and thoughts. She is doing pretty well but has some trouble with anxiety and with sleeping. She is hoping to have internet access soon.

I continue like, QuiltingKrazy, (which coincidentally used to be my online nick, lol,...just spelled differently), I continue to lose gradually, day by day, teen-in-cey amounts, but one drop of water plus one drop of water plus another drop and soon you have an ocean.
Weeelll, I'm not that big, LOL, but you get the gist, merciful heavens
I'm doing the tortoise thing...slow but sure this time and I will not give up and wreck my health.
That is what keeps me motivated and the fact that my change in eating habits does not make me hungry at all.
I look at chocolate cake and scoff at the devil's spawn in the weight loss world, lol...well, it's an imp just jonesing to drag me back, but it ain't happenin'!
I have thrown down the gauntlet on this excess baggage.
Y'all have a happy, successful eating day. hugs, mousie

I hope I do good today. Found out I have extremely low vitamin B12, and low TSH. Added with everything else no wonder I am tired. lol....

I didn't make it in to weigh today. It's raining and freezing here. It is supposed to warm up tomorrow, so I will go then. I don't like this gloomy weather. Just getting over the flu and all I want to do is sleep. I must be part hibernating bear cause all I want to do is sleep when it's cold and rainy and freezing. haha
