I haven't weighed in yet this week. I did however, finish the quilt for my cousin's daughter. I'll take pictures when I give it to her and post pictures. She's 8 and doesn't even know I made it for her. Should be exciting when I deliver it.

My keyboard does not like this website for some reason and it takes me twice as long to type a message and I still miss the letters. Yes, 20 she is and single. Hint hint.

I weighed in this am and lost another four pounds. That is seven so far this month. I think working with the new puppy is helping on the exercise. my hips are sore today from our short run last night, but she is up and moving just fine.

Default Tip of the Day: Fit Activity into Your Commute

Get off the bus or subway one stop early and walk or skate the rest of the way. It's an easy way to fit an extra 10 minutes of physical activity into your day.

Well I did my mid month weigh in and . . . I've lost 2 pounds!!! Not much, but it's good to be on a downward slide again. I have added calisthenics to my regimen. Not by choice, but the latch on the driver's door of my car is busted. Since I'm laid off there is no money for major car repairs. So I am using the passenger door and crawling over. Yikes!

Well I got some exercise last night. Not exactly my choice of things to do. We got another 4 inches of snow so I had to shovel the driveway etc. We actually had most of a day above freezing on Thursday so the snow started to melt. Not today, it is 9 degrees today. When I got home last night the roads were awful. The first of the snow that fell kinda melted on the roads, so there is ice under the snow.
I layered a quilt last night so I guess I will quilt it today. I am still trying to get some of the UFO's out of here. THis one is a birthday gift. Her birthday is Wednesday.

Big news for me! I made it to onederland!! By .2 but it still counts. Now to keep on this downward trend. The first 9 days of March we will be on vacation and that usually is a challenge. But we are going to France and everyone is skinny there so they must have tiny portions, right? Maybe I can be in the running for the batiks!
I got the birthday table runner all quilted yesterday so now it just needs a binding. I started this in a class probably 4 years ago. I wanted to learn to do machine applique. The cutting out took so long that we hardly got anything sewn together let alone doing any applique. I made it my goal to finish it before my first grandchild's first birthday. Her party is a week from today so it looks like i will make it. Woohoo!
Today I plan to work on my medallion quilt. Then there are still 2 baby girl quilts to make. One due in March and one in April. One of these times I hope to make a king size quilt for my bed. It keep getting pushed lower on my list.
I see a 40 in our forecast for next week. Seems unbelievable at this point. A lot of people in our towns having frozen pipes. I guess the bitter cold for 2 months has made the frostline go much deeper than normal. We are out in the country and have a well.
