When I finally finish my crumb quilt I had thought I could offer up some of the left over scraps - but I'm afraid now that they will be too covered in black fur. O'Malley discovered that my heap behind the sewing machine makes a nice little nest. I think part of it is that they just like being with us! :-)

I can't count the number of times I've nipped the ends of Fred's whiskers with my RC. He has to be the center of attention and stands right in front of me, between the SM or the computer. Guess it's better than DH always asking "Whatcha doing now?"!

When taking a quilting class one time, the question was asked of the teacher "What is the first thing you need to quilt?" Her answer "A cat." My male weight 17 1/2, female 12 and yes they hold the fabic down too.

I've had cats for years and they all love quilts and quilt fabric. I've never had a cat who didn't love them as much as I do :D
This little cutie on the left is tiny and her son, who is also ours weighs over 20 pounds! He has to have a physical in May and I'm expecting that scale to go a little higher. Mommy weighs less than 8 pounds!
My biggest chore with them is when I'm basting a quilt together. They take turns driving me nuts and I already dislike basting more than anything :D

This is so funny. Wonder why your cats stay away? I loved the kitty sitting on her quilt.

I have a 6 pound Pekingnese that is under foot all the time when I'm sewing. So I started putting her up on the counter where she immed. tried to curl up on my quilt in progress. I finally had to put out a big pc.of fabric for her to curl up on. She'll lay there the whole time I'm sewing. Biggest dilemma is to remember not to walk away & leave her. She's only operating on 3 legs so I have to really protect them.
