Well, I am in South Texas and you can have my rain. We have had 10.50 inches since last friday. Lots and lots of standing water. We still have a 50% chance of rain today.....Yuck!

We have been getting rain about everyday with the storms in the gulf. Yesterday was the last day of summer.
And hopefully the hot 90s. I'm looking forward to the first blue norther.

Well, I heard somewhere that we have the same amount of water on earth now as when the world was created. Living here in So. Calif., we ask, so, where is it all? Now we know, it's all in So. Texas! LOL

Yes we had a good dump of rain here in the Indianapolis area. i am so grateful for it. The air is so much more clean, and hopefully the lawn will spring back into shape. I am tired of brown grass! I hope we get some more this week.

We have had some good rains within the last three weeks, but before that our last rain was two months ago...and those were two very hot and dry months! I'm grateful for the rain, we should have another hay crop and the cattle have plenty of green grass to eat.

Rain, or lack of it, is my biggest irk about living where I am now.

Yesterday, the storm clouds were over Utah, and we did get rain. How much? 0.08 of an inch. That's all!!! That's what accounts for rain in these parts. Of course, there are always small pockets that just drown that local area in flash floods, but over all the numbers for a "good soaking rain" are far less than 1/4 of an inch. It's unnerving to see your small storm cloud and almost a full sky of blue next to it repeatedly touted as "today's stormy weather".

That's what I get from moving from an area along the Great Lakes that had weeks on end of rain and soggy damp weather to the desert. I miss it. I miss the all day rain and the damp, and also the greenery and beautiful colors that went with it. Seems like fall is becoming my least favorite season of the year.
