Default Finished my Last Christmas Gift for 2011

I designed the pattern for this little bear back in 1999 to give the grandkids something special for Christmas. I have done many upgrades, and even made a panda bear pattern with it. They are all hand sewn and take over a week to make; sometimes two. The legs move on them which made it fun for the kids. They're about 15" tall and sometimes I dress them from Build-A-Bear, but this one is going as is. They know they can't have them until after age 3 because the huge snaps that make the legs move are a choking hazard.

My talanted sister-in-law, Mabel, makes those...adorable bears. She makes the "Paws" out of real leather & real fur as well. (recycled fur coats!) I have a "racoon" bear and my dh has a "muskrat" bear; and all our children have their own special "bear" from her. Hers are pricey, from $300 up to $1500. She was well-know in Montana for her sewing & crafts that she did. Now she has moved to Iowa...all her bears and materials!!
