my bobbin thread ran out so I put in a new one and now the thread seems to be hanging up in the bobbin compartment, I have tried different bobbins, rethreaded the top thread. I took the bobbin carrier out and cleaned the dust bunnies. What could it be. I have a Kenmore

    thanks in advance

I rethreaded again and its working, I might have missed the lifter on the top thread.

With my Kenmore I have to be careful the race(carrier) is seated properly after I take it out to clean. It can be hard to get it in just right. On mine, there is a little bar-type spring that holds it in place. If that is not in the right place the race wobbles a bit and the thread doesn't feed right.
