Glad to see you are looking down on the water and not swimming in it. This is an all too familiar sight for me. At least when the water goes down, the muck left behind is usually good fertiliser for the yard. The kid's play area will be a bit restricted for a while I guess. Hope all goes well for you from now on.

Oh my - this year is miserable for rain! It is suppose to be nice here for 2 days, and then the weekend have more storms. It is shocking on the news all the pictures of the floods in the midwest.......and then there are areas that are dry as a bone.

Throw out fishing lines!!
Many years ago my uncles would go to the banks of the swollen Mud River and toss out big hooks to catch anything they saw passing by they wanted. The water was fast and furious.
One thing I remembered was a pretty rocking chair they gave Grandma, and a small chicken coop with a couple of irritated hens sitting on top. They kept the hens and they laid for some time after that, turned them into pets.

Hope it doesn't get inside. The Ms river is suppose to crest here at 60'. It was 56' in 39, [no I was not born then], but history shows it was really bad . This will be a record high and I expect to see snakes, alligators and black bear. They come up when the river rises. Sometimes they forget to go back. :hunf:

Old Mother Nature is having a hay-day around the globe, isn't she? Tornados, earth quakes, tsunami, flooding, fires, etc. I pray there are no more loss of lives, no more devastation, only sunshine and joy. Is that too much to ask? Guess it is!
