I call this one "Growth Chart" Can you tell why? :D I saw it when I was cleaning pastures, but it was too late when I took it. It's too blurry. I'll try again.

I've never seen a sunflower this pale color.

    And look at this one!

    Sun was behind this one!

One of my favorites this year!

This is another. I've had a poster for years that reads "Earth Laughs in Flowers" and I think that's a perfect quote for this one. :D

Okay--can I have another favorite? This is not edited! The sky was very light that day and the sunflowers very tall.

    This one seems shy.

    Close-ups are always fun!

And, I'll end with a few of these. My daughter came home a few weekends ago and we went to the Waterfront Arts Festival. She bought a pretty little dress made with batiks and asked if I'd take her picture by the sunflowers. I thought the wheat field was good too. She was a good sport about letting me practice some settings.

Karla, I had to laugh at your "Growth Chart." I see the increase in instances along with the increase in vertical length.

Beautiful pictures! Are you a professional photographer?

Your daughter is very cute, and she has the most contagiously cheery smile!

Terri--you crack me up (so what's new?)

redquilter--I don't do any more than anyone else. I just keep moving. :D

Lisanne--well, years ago I had a little business where I'd go into people's houses to take photos of their kids. A friend suggested it--she wanted me to take her kids' pictures. That only lasted two years... I did some senior pictures for kids--not a lot at all. It was very simple--all I took to shoots was my camera. So--since I did get paid--it was a professional job. I'd never do weddings or anything that couldn't be redone. It's mostly a nice camera, except I don't use half the neat stuff on it. I'm still learning the basics.

Isn't that a neat growth chart?

Brilliant photography - I love the growth charts - I have a sunflower quilt hanging on my sitting room as I type this. It's my summer quilt. I have one for most seasons, but haven't managed to make the autumn one yet. Thanks for shareing and I think you should go into it more. What about a calendar, or post cards/greetings cards. This pics would SELL!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful photographs. I feel like I just had a walk through a field of flowers on a warm summer day. How peaceful it is, and how cheery with the laughing flowers.
