I now get the flu shot. For years I never did and never got the flu. Then one year a while back I got the flu. I was so sick for so long. Now I get a flu shot. I've never had a reaction other than a little soreness at the injection site for a day or so.

Have asthma. Would never not get a flu shot. Haven't had the flu in 24 years. Strong believer in getting the shot if you have any chronic condition-asthma, any lung conditions, heart issues, and especially the elderly.

I get the flu shot. However, sometimes I still get the flu and when I do I make up a home natural remedy. I take a medium sauce pan and put two cups of water in it. Then I take an onion and slice it up and put it in the pan of water along with a clove of chopped garlic and a slice lemon. I boil the ingredients that are in the pan for 15 minutes. Then pour the liquid into a mug or large coffee cup, add a teaspoon of lemon juice and honey. Then I drink it, and put on a sweatsuit and get into bed. This works all the time for me to get read of the flu when I have it.

I had a flu hot once in my 56 years. I spent 2 months in bed sicker than I ever have been. I rarely get sick even when DH and kids get sick but if & when I do it is nothing like when I had a flu shot.
