My mom told me to suck it up and deal :( So I get plenty of sleep, Vitamin C, and unscented lotion for my poor nose

Usually the nursing home I work in starts the flu shots in Nov., because it only lasts 3 months. We had to start it this past week due to someone already confirmed with the flu. No, I have not been getting the flu shot for a few years now. The preservatives they use scare me. One shot here and there, okay, but over the lifetime, I am not sure what it will do. Extra vitamins and now I started drinking 1-3 tablespoon of vinegar in large glass of water each night. Reason - acid upsets the ph balance in your throat and bugs cannot grow. A co-worker gave me this, mis 1 cup honey, one cup vinegar and some mince garlic. Add a tablespoon of this to the water each night. I think I will do the honey/vinegar but will take a garlic pill.

I also add vitamin D throughout the winter while I'm hibernating. And lots of hand washing after grocery shopping, etc.

I'm 66 and have never had a flu shot. I go the nature route and strengthen my immune system with herbs. I've not had any type of flu for over 20 years. Stick with the old lemon juice and honey from my Dutch grandmother if I feel the least bit sick and it works every time.
