That happened to me once. I just needed a Rx change to my contacts. It probably means you can't see the street names on the street signs until you are closer to them. Hope that's all it is -- just a change to contacts or glasses or you may have to get them.

LOL I can't believe they gave you back your license...
Mom flunked the eye exam at DOL and her eye doc checked her out and gave her a note to take back so she could get renewed. Her eyeglass prescription was fine, doc said it happens a lot

My Dad would have flunked it many times but....he and my mother have very close birth dates. He would make her go ahead of him and he would listen while she read the line. :)
This worked for a number of years! But he was finally busted by a savvy employee.

Now he has glasses, but only wears them to watch tv. Go figure. :)

OK I am legally blind without glasses. I confess! There you go, now go get YOUR eyes checked! I am proud of my driving record, as a blind person. LOL I drove a school bus and for that I needed to have my head checked, not my eyes.

You probably just need to wear glasses for distance. It is no big deal. At 40 I got read glasses about 15 -18 yr.s later I needed glasses for distance, a few yr.s later I got bivocals and have worn glasses for yr.s, better than being blind. Oldest Daughter has worn glasses since she was 3-1/2.
