I fold mine also.

My aunt would starch her sheets and line dry them. I learned very early to get into her beds very gently when I was young..she DID NOT iron them so they were great exfolliant sheets! LOL.

I like to fold them right out of the dryer. I worked in a retail linen store for six years. Part of my job was to repackage opened and returned items.
why wouldn't you??????????
if you fold IMMEDIATELY they are taken off line/dryer then they will not crease ,AND if you don't fold how on earth do you put them away in linen cupboard or where ever they are stored??

I do it that way, too. It's easy to do and they always come out nice and flat and smooth.

OK, I'm confused, if you don't fold them how do you store them? I can't wrap my brain around a linen closet full of unfolded linen - ball them up, just shove them in....???

I was thinking about this topic this morning and getting more annoyed at the mess that is my linen closet. I decided to give the pillow case idea a try. Love it! Thanks for the suggestion.

. Soon I learned to do my fathers trousers, but only needed the tops done, they always lined dried with pants stretchers in them...... now,,,,,do I sound OLD or what?

Sure wish I could find some of those pants stretchers. It would make my life easier. I want my pants, jeans too, to have nice looking fronts, even if they stretch out by day's end.

Used to have some but they wore out.

I iron and fold them, don't iron the fitted bottom, just the top, not perfectly, but I do love to iron.

I take them off the bed and while they are washing and drying -leave the bed to air out and put them right back on.
