I think you could also store extra sets of sheets between the mattress and box spring. Then who cares how they're folded? Or even if they're folded?
Many years ago I cleaned a mans house. When I went to strip the bed, I discovered several fitted sheets on the bed. I found out he would just take the top one off when it got dirty!!!!!

WHY? Would I want to waste my precious quilting time doing such nonsense?

I'm very anal about organizing.....mine are all folded and stacked by color and size.
My closets are arranged too. Shirts are arranged by sleeve length, color, etc. I guess it's a disease or a mental defect!!!

Ladies, it is so easy to fold a fitted sheet and it takes up less room folded than wadded.
Take the two corners at the top and bring the bottom up to one corner, then take the next corner and make a fist into both and then with each additional corner add to the fist. then lay on the bed or table, and fold the edges in and you can then fold into a rectangle, and then fold again, I put the folded bottom sheet into the folded flat sheet and the pillow cases and then all are togeather in the linnen closet. I no longer Iron them, but I do have to fold them, nothing nicer than climbing into a bed with smooth clean sheets. AHAHAHAHAHAH Jean

I just put mine with the folded flat sheet and 1 folded pillowcase inside the other pillowcase. Once there, no one but you knows it isn't folded!

I am another one that has to have every closet organized. I go by sleve length color, then pant length and color. the dresses, gowns, ect. Even my shoes are organized and my Husbands closet and drawers are organized. Makes life alot easier.

I store my sheet sets in the matching pillow case too...won't say that the fitted sheet is neatly folded though, but no-one sees it..lol
