Default FQS newsletter

Just received a group apology re a typo on their newsletter that supposedly caused offense.

I looked at the original and don’t see it. Curious as to what it was that was so egregious that they had to do that.

Very sick of living among the perpetually offended. Their approach to life offends Me.

I got that apology email also and have no idea what they are talking about. I went back and read the original and couldn't find any typos at all, much less offensive ones. I, too, am tired of people who seem to live to be offended.

Okay. I just went and looked at it again. The typo is in the title. Instead of saying "National Sew a Jelly Roll Day", it says "National Sew a Jew Roll Day".

Ok, that’s pretty terrible. It was fixed on my copy, so I couldn’t see it.

Thanks for the update.

Just really hard to deal with auto correct filling in "correct" spelling for you if something isn't spelled correctly, especially on a smart phone.

I went back to try to find the typo. I found Gutermann was spelled wrong one time. I thought why would they apologize for that? The jelly roll misspell never caught my eyes. My friend who is Jewish thought it was worth a smile. She was not offended at all.

Lol how could anyone think of that as anything *but* a typo? So silly.

i can't speak for all Jewish people but most I know do have a sense of humor and lots of active brain cells. (including me ... except for the brain cells.)

it's nice to know it matters to them, but a simple "OOOPs! and the corrected version would have been enough.

the odds are that nobody complained.
