I just received a text message that stated:

VISA (Card Blocked
Alert). For More
information please
call 1-877-543-7987
Thank You. /

Ofcourse I panicked and called thier number immediately,
and a computer answered and asked for my card number.
Something about the way it was asked, struck me wrong and
I hung up and called the number on the back of my card and my
bank told me that they have been getting reports of these fradulant
text messages lately. Most banks will NOT send out a text message,
for any reason.
Thought I would pass this along :D

Last month I kept getting fraudulent , threatening emails supposedly from AOL . I knew it was a fraud , addressed to dear valued customer and when to my alternate e-mail address ! Wanted all my info and credit card # , mother's maiden name . Everything , forwarded to AOL and got no answer . Is this to say they don't care about their customers ? I just heard about this scam on the news.

Never respond to stuff like that, even if it looks legitimate. Our banks and credit card companies would NEVER ask us for passwords, etc. as they already have that information.

When in doubt, never respond to the email, instead call your bank or credit card company directly.

The scammers have gotten really good.

It really makes me mad that these people are doing this, and better yet, getting away with it!

You would think to earn some money they could take all that brainpower it takes to create a fraud, and turn it into something productive and healthy. Don't they have anything else to do than rip people off???

Sorry, this is just really aggrivating to me. Especially when we have so little, and these people are trying to con us out of that! Go get a regular job to make your money dude, stop trying to steal my money!
