Here's what it is like to live with someone who claims total honesty- There are times you need to keep your mouth shut. Your remarks are not as honest as you think and before you say or do something totally selfish and hurtful check your additude and zip you lips

Absolute honesty. As a matter of fact I maintain that the people who are willing to be brutally honest with me are the best people to have around me. The best thing anyone ever did for me was to tell me that I had depression and that I needed to get help. It was not an easy thing for my friend to do but it changed my life for the better.

Same here. It is not the quantity of friends that counts. It is the quality. Honesty is unconditional.

Not really.

Examples:

If someone wants to wear unbecoming clothing - oh,well.

If someone is starting to date someone that has some serious "issues" such as being a drug dealer or abuser- that information should be passed on. (Whether the person will listen is debatable, but at least he/she will have been warned.)
great examples... everyone who knows me knows not to ask my opinion unless they really want it. same thing at work.. there my policy is don't ask unless you really want the answer...

a lot of times my answer is "do you really want me to answer that?" sometimes thats answer enough.
