You might want to get a fabric pen and just draw the eyes. My dear DIL removed buttons from everything when her kids were small. Makes me wonder how my children grew to adulthood but she is right! My kids rode in car seats made of canvas with steering wheels and a gearshift..this was placed right next to me in the front seat. That was after they graduated from the portacrib in the backseat where they rode, slept and drank a bottle..yep, evenflow glass bottle!
