Congratulations on your new job! All of the new job sounds great except for being away from your family for 3 months. But? With the economy, many are having to do that & worse for job with good careers. My DD just got a new job also & going to only be home from Fri. eve. until time to fly out again Sun. mid afternoons. Not good but for now it is necessary. The job is great, so it was a sacrifice she & her family was willing to make. I wish you nothing but the best with your job & all areas of your life. Hope everything starts looking up for you!

Congratulations on the new job and on having a "hard" conversation with your MIL. On the positive side, maybe this will be a learning experience for her, and maybe for you. It must have taken courage to talk to her.

It's tough to be under anyone else's roof for that length of time, but it sounds like you have a plan to cope, and I'm glad you have an arrangement so you can sew to escape.

Best of luck!

What a magnificent opportunity. That position was waiting for you to apply. I was once told, when looking for a job, that if you don't get the one you apply for it is because there is a better one waiting for you. It looks like you got the gold ring. You must be floating on air. So happy for you and your family.

It's never easy living under someone else's roof (or having them under yours, for that matter), but it can be much easier if there are a few simple ground rules from the beginning that outline the expectations on either side regarding meals, laundry, baths, kitchen use (and cleaning), scheduling in general, etc.

Congrats! Sounds like a great opportunity! I'm sure these 3 months won't be easy, but all worth it in the end. Just take a deep breath and start sewing! lol

Hi Maria, I sure hope everything goes well with your mother in-law, but stop her in her tracks if she starts to give you a hard time. That way she will think twice about it the next time. enjoy your new job, and God bless. Penny
