Those of a certain age may appreciate this. Happens to me way too often!

sounds like my average day, guess my kids got their add from their mother, however just because I don't go in a straight line doesn't mean I don't get things done. I burn alot of extra calories on my way hee hee I think doing one thing at a time would be boring!

What a hoot! Been there, done that. Once left car keys in fridge with bag of groceries.

My weakness is that if I am on a mission, say, to find something in the storage closet, I end up cleaning and organizing the whole closet, which involves relocating a number of items which are in the wrong place, and when put in their right place I notice their new location requires further organization...so DH comes home and finds neat piles and paper bags of sorted objects lying all over the area outside the closet, all of which are en route to their proper homes, and he thinks the house is a mess! But he is the one who won't throw anything out, or the closets would be emptied. Hmph.

I think it can become addictive and it starts with multitasking. At work I have left the water running in the sink to clean and warm my coffee cup while I wait for the pot to heat up so I decide I can answer a couple emails, pay a bill, print some documents... once had a flood out of the sink into the shop which is on the floor below, and one of our carpenters came upstairs to report a plumbing leak going straight into the air filtration system! uh-oh.
