Funny Cat Story
My friend was telling me that almost everyday she would find her neighbor's (behind her with stockade fence between) mail scattered in her back yard. She was very perplexed and began to get indignant about the constant mess.
She found a cardboard box and would pick up the mail and take it to her neighbor's house and everyday put the mail in the box. (This neighbor was almost never home to contact.)
After a few weeks of this, she was getting more and more agitated and couldn't figure out what was going on. The neighbor's house is across from the high school so she thought perhaps a student was having his fun by throwing this mail over the fence.
Low and behold, one day she was standing on her back steps and she sees HER cat jump over the fence from her neighbor's yard with an envelope in her mouth. She couldn't believe her eyes! She stood there for some time watching her cat bring one envelope at a time over the fence into her yard.
I don't know how this story ended as this is as far as she went in telling us this story.

Those silly cats! Mine steal things from my sewing room - I found the brush used for cleaning lint from my machine - it was behind the garbage can in the bathroom. I once found a huge bag of fabric one of them hid under the bed in the spare bedroom. There were teeth marks and claw marks all over the bag but the fabric was fine.

I was watching funniest videos on t.v. yesterday and they showed one cat waiting at the slot in the door for the mailman to push mail through. the cat would grab a piece and go off with it. I don't know what happened to the mail after that, they didn't show it. I thought only dogs did that!! Oh my!! And they also showed a cat stealing a whole loaf of bread and attacking it on the floor. I think the bag was what the cat wanted, not the bread.

Too funny. Mine will start gnawing and eating anything packaged in plastic including packing tape. i thought I had mice gnawing on my bags with fabric until I caught him red handed or should I say red pawed in the closet.

I liked all the stories. My little(big)gray tabby steals my jewelry. She has chewed up a lovely pair of 14k hoops, stolen a watch, that I did find eventually, my tweezers were found by the cleaning person, in the fireplace. I had already cleaned the firebox and apparently Dovie was checking my work. I am now very careful to put away earrings or at least drop them in a drawer! I find felt mice , in my bed most mornings, those are usually from the other cat, Hershey. I do like my little mysteries !

My cat picks up odd things all the time. Little things (earrings, screws, pencils) left on the kitchen counter and knocks them on the floor. I think he either likes the sound of the drop or actually watching things drop ?? I lost a new earring once, only one was on the counter...no idea of where the other one was, until I turned on the garbage disposer and heard crunch, crunch...Oh, if I leave a brillo pad out, he is fascinated with them. I find them everywhere.
