    Default funny way to say "mind your own business"

    the French say "occupez-vous de vos oignons", translated literally means take care of your own onions!
    I wonder how that came into use? Did nosey people give unwanted advice as to when their neighbour should pull the onions in their garden? And then it grew from there..

    Mind yun bizness? My uncle you to address people "you uns". He would also say " Mind yun's bizness"!

    When someone I don't know very well, or don't want to know very well, asks me a personal question, I just say "Why are you asking?" It usually leaves them speechless or searching for an answer. Gets those busy bodies every time. Works for me.

    One that's worked for me is "Is there a reason you need to know?" Stops them every time. May not promote a friendship but I'm amazed at people's rudeness at times.
