DH went to a civil war re-actment at Getteysburg this past weekend and told me he took two sheets of my fabric softner with him. WHY? He said he rubs it on him to keep the bugs away and it worked. He saw it on the internet somewhere. Go figure! Although I would not rub it on the dogs/pets since they like to clean themselves.

I use eucalyptus oil. Tear paper towel into small pieces and roll each piece into a tight ball. Put just a drop or two of the oil on each ball, and toss 2 or 3 balls under furniture (where pets cant get to them) in each room. NO MORE than this, please! You can also put one or two between box spring/foundation and mattress. Repeat this about once or twice a year. I have never had a flea problem since I started doing this, and I have 3 indoor/outdoor cats and two dogs. Just make sure your pets can't get to them.

My 4 dogs have yet to have any fleas this year.
I attitribute that to having chickens and a guinea who eat all the bugs.

The hair does work in the garden. Another thing is human urine. Deer hate it.
