    holding the flat edge of a spoon under the quilt so your fingers don't get stabbed;-) I haven't tried it yet...

    eightylady, on the gallery section [qb forum] there are pictures of them, somewhat a version of the stack 'n whack]
    they are made out of hexagons by cutting through six layers.
