    Funny, but sad too. I live an hour from Lake Michigan. Lots of people don't realize how HUGE the Great Lakes are.

    I used to live in London.......Ohio.....and I've heard people say I'm from England. Apparently they stop listening after I say London.

    It's disheartening at the very least <sigh>. I wound up homeschooling our son for five years for that very reason.

    I actually had a customer service rep get into an argument with me because I told her I was in Washington state, which was on the west coast. She insisted the only states on the west coast were Oregon and California.

    I don't think any schools around here are teaching geography anymore. my son never did until i started homeschooling him. he thinks maps and stuff are cool and has a lot of fun with it.
