Gift cards to a favorite place is a great idea. I would take that as a gift any time.

I think the gift card to a restaurant or grocery store would be a good idea.

I gave my dad and his wife a nice clock/picture frame with their names and wedding date engraved on it. She put a wedding picture in it. They seemed to like it. I also gave them a couple of gift cards to restaurants they liked.

Here's what I call a serious gift. There are places where you can get the year plan, for chocolates or cake or flowers and once a month that month's gift is delivered. I think that would be wonderful.

    Blessings,
    Ruth

I agree with the gift cards. I find it so great to go out & use them.

I use to give cash, that way if they took a honeymoon, they would have extra cash to have dinner, lunch or just have fun. God bless.
