Question Girlfriends Trip to Hamilton....which hotel to stay at?

A fun group of us girls (use the term loosely as to ages) are going to Hamilton, MO for their Birthday Bash later this month. None of us has stayed overnight in the local hotels. Have any of you and what are some you recommend and some you think we should avoid? Thanks and Happy Quilting

I don't think there are any hotels in Hamilton. We stayed in a little town about 15 miles away. Maybe Cameron?

I have seen that question asked on their forum, with several answers. You could join up and ask them. But, I think the motels fill up pretty quick, so if you find something, better reserve it now.

Yes, thats where the motels are; 12 miles away at the closest. Many are farther away in other towns too.

Cameron is 10 miles west of Hamilton where I-35 & hwy 36 (the road to Hamilton--may be hwy 33) intersect. or you could go east of Hamilton to Chillecothe, which is little bigger. There may be some B & B in Hamilton now too.

TripAdvisor is a great resource for reviews too.

We went about a year ago and stayed at the Quality Inn in Cameron. Easy to find off the highway, clean, and quiet. There is also a great restaurant nearby, we went twice. We stayed three nights, great place.

We stayed at the Days Inn in Cameron. Very reasonable, clean and quiet. Easy to find and the staff is super friendly and helpful. They have an indoor salt water pool....really nice.

I wonder if you can stay at one the retreat centers overnight. There are two, one larger and one smaller that I know of. It might be worth a phone call to MSQC.

Already full, they book up early they said, especially on theme events.
