I didn't get to watch it, but I was closely following on my phone... until right at the end, when I was riding my bicycle home from work.
I'm not even kidding, I knew the exact moment we won even though I wasn't watching my phone. I heard everyone across town start yelling!

THANK YOU for the best post I've seen on the Quilting Board. We live in Southeast Missouri and are life-long Cards fans. My husband, our daughter in Springfield, MO, and our son in Chicago were on 3-way conference call during the last 3 or 4 innings of the game. There was a whole lot of shouting and even some crying when the game ended with a Cardinals victory. I was too busy praying to be involved in the call, but hubby did the speaker phone thing so I could hear. GO Cards!

I agree about Berkman emerald - When he played for the Astors my DS & DIL took me to watch a game in Houston. Those were the years of he, Biggio & a couple others were such BIG players. Once they were gone, seems the team kinda went downhill. Living close to Round Rock, I've also been able to watch several games & then see some of those players go on to the Astros team.
If tonight is like last nite, hope my BP makes it thru OK ;-) GO RANGERS!!!!

Of course I want the Rangers to win but Tony LaRussa doesn't deserve to win. I immediately dislike that man. When one of his players made a mistake, the camera was on him. He used the Lord's name in vain twice and it was heard on camera. He should be ashamed of himself for saying it. Plus the fact that so many gillions of people, including young people, heard it. If he said it then, I can only assume it's something he says in his daily conversation. I don't like him.
