Glad you will soon be on your way home. Enjoy all your new toys when you get there.

Sob, sob. I have been following you for a long time now and I feel almost like a friend. I'm all teary-eyed because I'm sharing your mixed emotions about leaving your new friends and hard-won personal attachments and leaving behind the beloved tools of your accomplishments which you must feel are unfinished. I bet you're feeling a little emptiness in your heart, too, right? It's hard to say goodbye to friendships that you've worked so hard to cultivate. The Afghan women must surely know they have a real American friend now and are hating to see you go.

But chin up, girl! Good things are ahead. I'm feeling your excitement about coming home and I'm wishing I could be there to welcome you. You and your family must be jumping out of your skin with joy and pride. I for one will miss your Afghan stories and experieces. Please know that you have done a wonderful thing and have truly represented our country. You've done a great job. Thank you so much for your service.

Don't forget us here at QB. Once you are settled, please keep in touch and let us know what you are up to!

Have a safe trip, God Bless, and again, Welcome Home!

    USA! USA! USA!

How appropriate to read your words after watching the services this morning. I'm truly grateful for what you and your fellow comrades have done for our liberty and security. May your travel home be safe and your life filled with blessings. Thank you!
