a good mixer
The Quilting Board is a good mixer of quilters -
Sometimes the "facelessness/anonymity" of the internet is considered to be a bad thing - but sometimes some of us would not have the opportunities of interacting with such a varied group if it could only be done "in person and face to face."
so I am very grateful for this forum.

Without this board, I would not have become acquainted with some of the members due to a few minor things such as differences in age, race, gender, income, "wealth", family connections, career/job/occupation, race, education, geography/location, marital status, and so forth.
Those things do not seem to matter here as much as they seem to matter in some other areas - - - -

i AGREE WITH CHASING HAWK, without this board, i would have the friends i do. I know a lot of people say that 'computer people' aren't our friends. but i disagree.I've met some really nice people here, and have made some nice friends too.

I do not have much social, face-to-face contact so for me the internet is a life-saver.
Thank you Quilting Board members!

IT is a wonderful place where you can chat to people about anything plus quilting. Where we see absolutely fabulous quilts ask serious questions we can't answer ourselves alone. Where we can find answers to issues which are troubling us and where we can ask for prayers for anyone.
love the site for these reasons.
