    Good morning everyone,

It is a wonderful day, sun is shining, LOTS of snow on the ground AND the sun is making the long shadows cut a design on the snow; would love to be able to take a picture of this. I love today. I had to spend a week in hospital and am now home and beginning the baby steps to life again. I love this site and all of you because you keep me company, help me with ideas, give me laughter, and so much more. Hugs to each of you for your love and humanity.

Another snow day for Dallas!!! We are expecting another couple of inches in the next few hours on top of the 4 or so we got last night!!!! I am going to visit with our son who came in from Calif with a buddy who is working the super bowl, or should I say snow bowl? He will be spending some of the days with us. I already have a project in mind, will post pictures later if it works out. Hubby just put hot oatbran cereal with blueberries and bananas and cinnamon on the table.

Just hearing about the Waffle House makes me smile. Last fall my only grand-daughter was up here visiting from Florida. The family used to live up here, but my son, who I raised to be independent, decided to move south. Anyway, I had made breakfast for several days in a row and wanted to take her to a place that her Daddy always went, so she could tell him where we went for breakfast. Well, I said, how about we go out for breakfast today? Her reply was," But Gramma, I don't want to go to the Aweful House....
It was just too funny. I had to share.

I already called two days this week..Jammy Day!!!
So, I had to go to Wal-Mart to get a few groceries
and also a new sewing machine so I would have a
back up if my expensive one should break down.
I gave my other back up to my daughter-in-law and
now she is accusing me of giving her the bug!!! ha ha ha
    The Quilting bug that is.

Had to go out and buy rock salt. My 20 pound bag ran out yesterday and they're predicting another snowstorm tomorrow. Every place I went they were all sold out! Finally found some at a hardware store at 4pm and got the last 2 bags! Tomorrow is a stay at home and quilt day. The house is a mess but I must pick my priorities. Quilting it is and a few snacks. Sounds like a perfect day.

I ENJOY MAKING HOMEMADE BLUEBERRY MUFFINS, ALSO BAKING BREAD ON COLD DAYS. ALSO LIKE TO MAKE HOMEMADE SOUPS IN THE CROCK POT, LET THEM SIMMER ALL DAY AND THEN SUPPER IS READY. WINTERTIME IS COOKING TIME FOR ME.
