Angry Got "FBI Moneypack Warning" on my computer

This is such a pain in the neck! I knew I had heard about this virus before so I looked it up and on DH iPhone and was able to remove it! I am NOT usually too computer savey but found a UTube video and it walked me through. If these people would put their energy into helpful stuff instead of garbage.... Okay, now I can go and quilt today knowing that my computer is up and running!

You are so right about putting their effort into something positive, instead of negative! Glad you got it out safely!

Wow, what a nasty piece of work that is. I wonder how many have fell for it.
I always am amazed at the lengths people will go to to mess with someone they don't even know.

There was a funny article in a London newspaper recently. A woman had been arrested and charged for claiming benefits to which she wasn't entitled. Her lawyer investigated and got the charges dropped because she would have been entitled to MORE benefits if she'd just been honest.

That happened to me a few weeks ago. I had to pay $80 to have it removed from my computer. It's a shock when it comes up and takes over your computer claiming to be the FBI because pornographic siteswere are viewed. They are so thoughtful though in saying it can be fixed by going to the store to get a money order of $300 and they will "forget all the charges":-P The computer store said that has been going around for several years.

You can get that virus from any site. It doesn,t have to be from a porn site.
