Evil wasn't trying to hurt you while you are just laying there. You see...those gnomes are EVERYWHERE! He sees them and he just HAS to protect you from them no matter where they are! He's really sorry if you get a little battle wound while he is doing it...he doesn't mean it, but really, he's just trying to protect you because those gnomes are really bad!
