When you apply for unemployment be sure and put down your "LAST" day of work as your last day... in Indiana they will go back to that date . Even if it has been over a week or two, as you didn't know at the time it was going to be permanent .

Good luck to you  I lost my job in March , so I feel your pain. I had mine for 16 years

We don't ever know what is going to happen next so we take each day as it comes and I truly believe everything happens for a reason...we may not know it but this could be the beginning of something brand new for you...not saying it will be easy but I try to tell myself attitude is everything...wishing you the best of luck.

Ihope that with a good reference from your ex-boss you will pick up another job soon.
If you can cook are there local farmer type/womens mkts that you could sell your stuff-------or could you get a small trailer/caravan and consider a layby portable cafe for truckers?

I am also unemployed. Here are some hints. Apply for unemployment ASAP as others have said. Check with your county. My county as a Arapahoe/Douglas County Works program and there is money for training. Take advantage of it if you can. Keep your chin up.
